Madbush Falls, Vermont's bike and ski basecamp in the Mad River Valley is hiring the person to run the breakfast show! One of Vermont’s most exciting new culinary offerings, Madbush Falls has garnered almost 200 5-star reviews in its first 2 years of operation. We’re looking to add one more dependable line cook to our awesome crew.
Our lodge guests love Chef Cody Pratt's Cali-mex style breakfast and brunch. You’ll help our active clientele fuel up before and after big days outdoors, working in a brand-new kitchen built to crank volume. You will also help prep for our busy dinner services and our to-go lunch program. You’ll help maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work together to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
On quieter mornings, you will also serve breakfast to our in-house guests, including taking their orders from the counter and running it out to them. You'll collect tips (including splitting them on days when we do have a server), which can drive your hourly pay up to $30/hr on a good shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Open the kitchen and restaurant each morning that you work
Prepare food items according to recipes and specifications.
Ensure that all food items are properly cooked and served at the correct temperature.
Coordinate with other staff to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
Assist in the ordering and inventory management of food and supplies.
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that our high standards are met.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
~1 year or more of experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
