At Madbush Falls, Vermont’s new bike & ski basecamp in the incredible Mad River Valley, we are growing our culinary team and we're interested in hiring you! We have a rock-solid, supportive and awesome kitchen crew putting out fantastic food that has garnered almost exclusively 5-star reviews--over 5 dozen of them!


If you would like to gain experience and move up the ranks while being part of one of Vermont’s most highly-acclaimed new culinary offerings, this could be the position for you. We’re looking to add to our talented, low-ego crew. Expect to find the Chef, Founder and GM in there on expo, doing dishes and prepping with you if that’s what it takes! You will be responsible for preparing food according to our new recipes that celebrate Vermont. You’ll help our active clientele fuel up before and after big days outdoors, working in a brand-new kitchen built to crank volume. You’ll help maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work together to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items according to recipes and specifications.

  • Ensure that all food items are properly cooked and served at the correct temperature.

  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and workstations.

  • Assist in the ordering and inventory management of food and supplies.

  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that our high standards are met.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certification

  • Experience in a restaurant environment

  • Serve safe or food safety Certification Preferred

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Pay: $22-$25+ per hour based on experience
