Lazy Freerider
A downhill lovers delight
Stats:
TRAIL TYPE: Flow & tech
DISTANCE: 6 mi (10 km)
VERTICAL: 466' (142 m)
Description:
The best descent to ascent Ratio you can find in the valley. Starting at nearly 2,000’ and descending over 1,600’ to the valley floor, this is a real slackcountry affair.
From Summit Rd, Lower Woods Downhill feels like a bike park – big, steep tabletops and gaps that you can huck off or just flow over. A brief return to Sugarbush Access Rd doesn’t last long, you re-enter at the Sugarbush Inn and take the Sugarbush Inn Connector to Swell Hill, one of the best climbing trails in the state. When you reach the top continue onto Pusherman for the last bit of climbing on the ride. From here you'll rip down Lil' Sumpin, the Mad River Riders' newest downhill delight, and finally connect onto the most classic valley trail, Plum Line.
This route is the Valley's ideal shuttle lap with minimal climbing and maximum downhill.
